COLOURFUL FASHION PARADES NOW IN CITY STORE
‘‘Shape of things to come” might well have been the subtitle to the colourful cottonfashion paradettes which will open today in the Cotton Fabrics Department of Hay’s Limited’s main city store. The styles, all made from famous Simplicity patterns, include the interest-provoking harem skirt, chemise and trapeze fashion-lines and shorter hems, most important, the full collection of styles paraded have been fashioned through the medium of cotton wonderful 1958 Ferguson fabrics in the most magnificent range and choice for day and evening wear that this famous fabric Store has yet had the pleasure of offering. Ferguson cottons, gay and glorious, patterned and plain, crease-resisting, everglaze, dripdry, will make immediate appeal to all who love and appreciate sunsplashed cottons as the basis of the warmer-day wardrobe. Dressmaking must surely become a thrill with these perfectly lovely Fergusbn fabrics; cottons which make up sq easily and which stay looking lovely for so long. These are fabrics which assure happy days and gay evenings ahead. The home dressmaker is well catered for, for here are perfect designs—spots, vivid florals, polka dots, adventurous modem abstracts, plus the latest exciting styles created by Simplicity patterns. Three attractive models parade styles which you yourself may make, and there are dozens of others available at Hay’s Pattern Counter. The Paradettes will be held daily this week and on Friday evening too; the times, 11.30. 12.30. 1.30, 2.30 and at 6,7, and 8 p.m. on Friday. The compere is Mrs Margaret Barter who will carefully describe each style and give the pattern-number of each for you.
