Examinations For Police

The annual examination for policemen from Canterbury, South Canterbury, and the West Coast will be held at the Christchurch Central Police Station from August 26 to August 28. Mr D. R. Sugrue, the Superintendent of Police, will supervise the examinations. Five of the 31 candidates will sit the law examination for commissioned officers. The other 26 are taking the non-commissioned officers’ examination. .

For the first two days, candidates will take the law papers and on the last day, seven candidates will sit the literary paper. Before qualifying for any new rank, successful candidates will have to take oral tests.
