Second School Of Architecture

(New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, August 7. Proposals for a second school of architecture in the Dominion were deferred by the Senate ot the University of New Zealand today until a report was received from the Academic Board. Members had before them a report from the New Zealand Institute oi Architects replying to reports from the four universities. Requests put forward by the institute were that a second school of architecture be set up at Victoria University as soon as post sible, that it be planned to take an Initial enrolment of 80 to 100 full-time and part-time students, and that the position of Professor of Architecture be advertised so the school could open for 1960. There was no discussion.
