Queen Receives 320 Bishops

The, Queen today received at Buckingham Palace 320 archbishops and bishops of the Anglican Communion who are attending the Lambeth Conference.

In the White and Gold State Ballroom, the Queen stood on the dais while the Archbishop of Canterbury (the Most Rev. Geoffrey Fisher) read an address. He said: “We are happy to know that Your Majesty is now recovered, and pray that God will continue to preserve you in good health.”
