NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that I, MARGARET McBEATH CROSBIE, of 558 New Brighton road, Christchurch, married woman, being the occupier of the “lolanthe Hosiery and Lingerie Salon,” situate at 21 Seaview rd., New Brighton, in the Christchurch district, the closing hours of which have been fixed by or pursuant to the New Zealand (except Northern Industrial District) Retail Shop Assistants’. Award WILL APPLY to the Magistrate’s Court at Christchurch on Wednesday, the 20th day Of August, 1958, at 2.15 p.m., for partial exemption from the requirement to observe such.closing hours, namely for permission to open on Saturday between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. and to close all day Wednesday and at 5.30 p.m. on Fridays in respect of the sale of hosiery and lingerie of all descriptions. THE GROUNDS for my application are:—

(1) That Saturday closing in New Brighton is against the public interest. (2) That'the exemption applied for will not unfairly affect the business | of any other shop. Any occupier of any shop, and any representative of such Industrial Union of Workers or Employers as are affected by the result of the proceeding shall be entitled to appear and be heard on the application.
