Women’s Hockey INTERPROVINCIAL FIXTURES

Disappointment At Cancellation Disappointment at the cancellation of the annual matches between South Canterbury A and Canterbury senior A reserve and South Canterbury B and Canterbury second grade was expressed at the meeting of the Canterbury Women s Hockey Association on Monday, evening. The fixture has been cancelled because South Canterbury has been unable to fit the matches into its programme. It was decided to present a certificate to each child who represented Canterbury in the primary school grade. The secretary was instructed 1 to write to the New Zealand association for information about the reunion ot former New Zealand players to be held in Wellington during the Dominion tournament. A recommendation to the incoming committee to institute an end-of-year function for the presentation of trophies to grade winners was made by Mrs A. Timlin.
