U.S. NEGOTIATIONS WITH CHINA
(Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, August 4. The United States Ambassador to Poland, Mr Jacob Beam, had been named as the United States representative in negotiations with Communist China, the “Daily Telegraph” reported. Talks between the two countries have been taking place intermittently in Geneva since 1955.
The new series of talks were said to be on American nationals detained in China, the Formosa problem and American-Chinese relations in general.
