Coaching Course Ends

Miss A. Brandrick. the English women’s hockey coach, will conclude her programme of coaching engagements in Christchurch today and will leave for Ashburton tomorrow to begin a course there.

Miss Brandrick, who has been tn Christchurch for four days, has given a series of lectures to coaches, players. and officials and has demonstrated the basic skills of hockey and the various tactics and positional plays. Miss Brandrick is touring New Zealand at the invitation of the New Zealand Women’s Hockey Association.

Theft from Doctor’s Rooms.— Cash amounting to £9 and £43 in cheques were stolen from the consulting room of Dr. T. P Cannon, at 222 Oxford terrace, on Wednesday night. There was no evidence to show how the thief gained entry, but he went out by the door, leaving it open.
