COMMERCIAL Week Closes Quietly On ’Change

The Christchurch Stock Exchange was again quiet yesterday and, for the few parcels traded, parcels were variable.

One parcel of Charles Begg and Company changed hands at 52s 6d, 6d higher than in most* recent local trading. A further two parcels of this stock were steady at 525.

New Zealand Breweries were 3d easier at 49s 9d. and Cyclone Fence and New Zealand Packing were also easier. Reid-Murray Holdings were steady.
