Refinery Fire In Ontario
PORT CREDIT (Ontario), July 4. One worker was reported killed last night in an explosion and fire at the Regent Refining, Ltd., refinery. Police in Port Credit, a town 10 miles west of Toronto, said that the man was burned to death in the blaze, which raged for 45 minutes before fire-fighters put it out. Firemen said that at least two others were injured The fire started in the centre of a ring of about 10 storage tanks at the refinery, reports said. The fire was confined to about 50 acres of the plant.
