Explosion Victim Dies
(New Zealand Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, July 4. Injured in an explosion in the cool stores of the West Coast Refrigerating Company at Patea on Wednesday, a 62-year-old man died today in the Patea Hospital He was: Finlay Buchanan, of Patea. The condition of the company’s chief engineer, George Thomas Marshall, who was badly shocked by the explosion, was stated by the hospital today to be satisfactory.
Cyclist Injured
A cyclist, Mr M. L. Hill, of Princess place, Kaiapoi, was , injured when he was involved in a collision with a car when going to work yesterday morning. He suffered a lacerated scalp, shock and concussion. His condition was reported to be satisfactory last evening.
