Loan Still Needs £5 Million

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 3. “With the final two days to go a total of £10,370,600 has has subscribed to the Government’s £15,000,000 works loan by 3628 applicants,” said the Minister of Finance (Mr Nordmeyer) today. “There has been a pleasing improvement in the subscription rate in the last day or so,” said the Minister. “However, it definitely closes tomorrow night, and the objective, although in sight, is still a good way off.”
