AMBERLEY CLUB

Non-Totalisator Permit

The Amberley Trotting Club has received advice from the New Zealand Trotting Conference that its application for registration as a nontotalisator club has been approved. The club has aboOt 200 members, most of whom are former members of the Hurunui and Waiau picnic racing clubs. These clubs held meetings for more than 40 - years and went into recess in 1941.

The Amberley club will hold its first annual meeting next month when matters regarding officials and a possible date for the first nbntotalisator meeting will be discussed. The Amberley Racing Club is giving every assistance to the new club and has granted it the use of the Amberley course free of charge for its first two meetings.
