COMMERCIAL Prices Variable On Active Market
The Christchurch Stock Exchange was again comparatively active yesterday, with a long list of stocks traded, though mostly in small parcels. Prices were variable. Hallensteins lost 6d to change hands at 37s 6d, and other stocks to be traded at prices below those of previous Christchurch business were New Zealand Breweries and K.P. Drugs. South British Insurance gained a further Is 9d to sell at 80s, and gains above previous local trading were also made by D.I.C, Griffins, New Zealand Farmers Fertiliser, Ross and Glendining, Waltons and Whakatane Board Mills.
New Zealand Refrigerating, Ballins Breweries, Cox Brothers, Email and Woolworths, New Zealand, ex dividend were steady.
