In his only start as a five-year-old he was second at Hurst Park in the Whitehall Handicap, one mile and I three-quarters and 66 yards. I Trovato’s dam is Bura, by Bahram from Becti, by Salmon Trout from Mirawala, by Phalaris from Miranda, by Gallinule from Admiration, which left the great race mare Pretty Polly winner of 22 races and £37,297. Bura was a winner and has had considerable success as a brood mare. Her first six foals have all won. Pharsalia was unbeaten in four races, including the Queen Mary Stakes and the Lowther Sweepstakes. Verdura won three races, including the Wilbraham Stakes at Newmarket. Gratitude won the New Stakes at Royal Ascot. MiraWala, the third dam of Trovato, was a winner, and her daughter.
