Rise In Profit (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 18. Net profit of Prestige New Zealand. Ltd., for the year ended March 31. 1958, was £44,732 compared with £26.376 for the previous year. This profit was struck after. allowing £40.456 for depreciation (£30.634 last year) and £53,659 (£28,019) for taxes. The 6 per cent, preference dividend takes £lBOO and the 12£ per cent. ordinary dividend £22.851. Last year a 10 per cent, ordinary dividend was paid, requiring £18,162. The carry forward will be raised from £16,787 to £36.868. The directors report that the company purchased the business of the New Zealand Hosiery Co.. Ltd., a company engaged in the wholesaling of all the products of Prestige New Zealand, Ltd on April 1, 1957. For the purpose a loan was raised overseas and at balance date £lOl,OOO remained to be repaid.
