Ben Lee should be one of the hardest to beat in the Centennial Cup, first leg of the off-course double, on the second day of the Nelson Trotting Club’s meeting tomorrow. His owner-trainer-drixer. H. Stafford, he had held off Harlequin Parade yesterday, as he returned confidently to the birdcage. Our Tim may be his strongest opponent now that he has regained winning form. while Harlequin Parade should prove the best of the others. Stylish Petro will only need to repeat yesterday’s effort to win the Pitt Handicap, the second leg of the double. Josie Gay, Great Direct and Toka Boy have the b-st form of the others. Sunshine and wind prevailed in Nelson today, so the track should be in good order.
