JOCKEY’S VISIT TO AUSTRALIA
“The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND, June 8. The Australian rider, W. A. Smith, who won on three of his four mounts at Ellerslie yesterday, will leave by air today for Melbourne, and a visit to his parents at Ballarat. Smith will miss the Waipa Racing Club’s meeting at Te Awamutu on Saturday, but ne will return in time for the racing at Avondale on June 21. He does not Intend to ride while he is in Australia.
