Saud’s Relatives Sentenced
(Rec. 7 p.m.) DAMASCUS. June 7. Asad Ibrahim, a father-in-law of King Saud of Saudi Arabia, and Asad’s brother, Majed Ibrahim, were today sentenced in their absence to life imprisonment with hard labour. After a two-month trial, they had been found guilty of plotting, at the alleged instigation of King Saud, to assassinate President Nasser of the United Arab Republic and to carry out a coup d’etat in Syria to prevent Egyptian-Syrian unity.
