SHOOTINGS IN ALGERIA
Four Killed; 3 Police Wounded (Rec. 9 p.m.) BONE (Algeria), June 7. Three policemen were wounded during the night by insurgents who infiltrated into Bone, the East-Algerian city visited bv General de Gaulle two days ago. Bursts of automatic fire and revolver shots were fired in several parts of the town. Security forces using armoured cars hit back and the firing went on for 40 minutes. The insurgents withdrew to Edough Mountain, overlooking the city, where troops are searching for them. In other incidents in Algeria yesterdav four persons were killed and four wounded, according to reports received in ‘Algiers today. A Jewish shopkeeper was shot dead in the Belcourt district of Algiers, two Moslems were found with their throats cut at Si di bel Abbes and a European farmer was killed and another wounded near Doulineau in Western Algeria. The other three were injured when a taxi blew up on a mine near Ampere in the east.
Algerian Flights Resume. — British Overseas Airways Corporation services to Algiers were resumed today for the first time since May 14 when the French: Government banned flying over Algeria.—London. June 7. I
