Situation: An anti-cyclone, centred north-west of the North Island, is moving slowly eastwards. It should give fair weather to mo§t of New Zealand tomorrow. A depression north-east of the Chathar. Islands is moving away, and another depression is expected to pass to the south of New Zealand in the morning. Forecast:—

West Coast: Light to moderate north-easterly winds; weather cloudy to overcast, with occasional showers; temperatures moderate. Outlook: fain developing.

Nelson: -Light to moderate westerly to northerly winds predominating; weather fair, with moderate day temperatures.. Outlook: becoming cloudy. Marlborough: North-westerly winds, freshening during the day, weather mainly fine, but cloud increasing about Cook Strait; moderate temperatures. Outlook: becoming cloudy.
