VANDALISM AT AUCKLAND

Police Arrest Two Men (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. May 29. Vandals who broke into an Auckland shoe store last night flung dye over stock, carpets and fittings and slashed and ruined a leather couch. They left the store of L. A. Roadley, Ltd.. Avondale, a shambles with damage totalling some £2OO. The premises were broken Into from the back and the intruder! pulled stacks of shoes down to the floor and poured several bottles of black shoe dye over them and the linoleum, carpets, and display racks of footwear. Dye was also thrown over loose shoes in the storeroom. The couch was slashed and a chair cut and a radio was thrown on the floor and smashed. Detectives this morning arrested two young men in connexion with these incidents and other shopbreaking at Avondale. They were also charged with illegally entering the Esquire Theatre, at Grey Lynn, on Tuesday night, and damaging equipment
