Yahabeebe Sprints Well
(N.Z. Press Association —Copyright) BRISBANE. May 29. The New Zealand mare, Yahabeebe, is thriving in Brisbane. She was most impressive over four furlongs in 50Jsec working about 10ft out on a firm grass track today. She carried about 9-0, and could have done better. She will start tn the five and a half furlong Lightning Handicap at Eagle Farm on Saturday. Grenville Hughes, who will ride her in the Lightning and in the £lO,OOO seven furlongs Stradbroke Handicap on June 14, arrived today. State House Rents.—About 475 tenants of State houses stnd flats in Auckland have been granted relief from the Government’s new higher rent scales. About 950 applied for relief.
