Bali Ha’i To Race At Ascot

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, April 28. The Queen Mother’s gift racehorse from New Zealand, Bali Ha’i. will run in the Gold Vase over two miles on the first day of the Royal Ascot meeting on June 17. Bali Ha’i had his first work with Captain Cecil Boyd-Rochfort’s string on Newmarket Heath last week-end —four days after his arrival in Britain by sea. Captain Boyd-Rochfort, the Royal trainer, was immediately impressed by Bali Ha’i and was further delighted when the horse settled down quickly to his new surroundings.
