Forecast:— Canterbury: Variable winds with moderate to fresh north-westerlies predominating inland, and south-westerlies, occasionally fresh or strong, in exposed coastal areas; changeable, with scattered showers, but considerable fair intervals. Nelson: Variable Winds with northerlies or westerlies predominating; weather fair, apart from scattered showers in the west and south; temperatures cool. Outlook: brief periods of rain or showers. Marlborough: North-westerlies predominating and becoming fresh or strong about Cook Strait; weather fair to cloudy and cool. Outlook: brief periods of rain or showers.
