Evangelist Addresses Large Audience

Amongst the hundreds who heard the popular, international evangelist Vere W. Stotesbury were people who travelled from as far as Ashburton to the south and Blenheim to the North. The speaker challenged his listeners to be prepared for a great crisis, but, he said, Christ will return soon to end man’s long reign of sin and sorrow. He is to speak again at the Mayfair Lounge, Worcester street, on Tuesday, at 7.30 p.m. on “The Greatest Crime of Christendom.” The beautiful colour film, “The Story of Laurel Nelson," will also be screened.
