DRUNKEN DRIVER GAOLED

Second Conviction (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 28. Donald Cliff Page, aged 38, a workman, was gaoled for seven days today by Mr M. C. Astley, S.M. He had pleaded not guilty in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court to a charge of driving While so under the influence of drink as to be incapable of proper control. His driver’s licence was cancelled for five years, thereafter to be endorsed for three years. The Magistrate said accused had a previous conviction for being intoxicated in charge of a motorcycle and would have to go to prison.
