, Complaints Made By Parents Complaints that girls boarding at the Christchurch Girls’ High School Hostel were not getting enough to eat were made recently by boarders’ parents to the headmistress of the school (Miss 3. F. C. Tyndall). At a meeting of the school board last evening Miss Tyndall said that she had seen the matron in charge of the hostel and asked for an improvement. “I also received complaints that the menu was monotonous,” she said. Miss Tyndall said she thought the Matron was trying to run the hostel “without spending too much money.”

Miss Tyndall said she had told the matron that she would rather have a large amount of money spent on food than anything else. There had been an improvement In the last week, she said.
