GUN DOG CLUB
Trials At Temuka River Under ideal conditions the South Canterbury Gun Dog Club held its land and water trials on the Temuka riverbed last week-end. The judges were Messrs F. Harty and W. R. Hawker. Results were:— Open Water.—J. W. Stanton’s springer spaniel 1, J. Kerr’s curlycoated retriever 2, G. Berry’s. Labrador retriever 3. Open Land.—J. Dee’s golden retriever 1, W. R. Hawker’s Labrador 2. R. M. Morten’s Irish water spaniel and W. R. Hawker’s Labrador (equal) 3. Limit Water.—J. Balfour's cocker spaniel 1, R. M. Paytons Labrador and R. M. Morten’s Irish water spaniel (equal) 3. Limit Land.—G. Berry’s Labrador 1, R. M. Morten’s Irish water spaniel 2. _ . Novice Land.—W. Henry’s Labrador 1, J. Balfour’s cocker spaniel 2. All in Water.—J. W. Stantons springer spaniel 1, G.
