Three Canterbury Records Broken

Three Canterbury records were broken in special attempts made at the Centennial Pool on Friday evening. C. McFadden broke the intermediate boys’ 220 yards record by more than two seconds, his time being 2min 21.1 sec On Wednesday McFadden set an intermediate boys’ 110 yards backstroke record. M. Hay broke the boys’ under 12 55 vards breaststroke record with a time of 47.65ec, an improvement of almost four seconds on the old time.

G. Le Cren, who set a 55 yards record two nights before, established a new time for the junior boys’ 110 yards freestyle with a time of 68.9 sec.
