C.A.A. BAN AT WHENUAPAI

Dispensation For Stratocruiser (New Zealand Press Association; AUCKLAND, April 14 A Boeing Stratocruiser, flying under charter, will be permitted to load more than 80 passengers at Whenuapai oh April 24, but it must fly to Ohakea to take on fuel for its overseas flight. This is the latest outcome of the aircraft weight restrictions imposed on Whenuapai by the Civil Aviation Administration.

A Stratocruiser, a type which was once flown regularly to Auckland, is on the list of aircraft banned from Whenuapai. But permission has been granted foi the machine to land at Whenuapai tomorrow with 85 members of the Church of Latter Day Saints, who are coming from America for the Church’s celebrations at Frankton. The Stra’ocruiser was chartered by the Church to make the special flight A DC-4 was also chartered, and it. too, will arrive tomorrow with 55 passengers from America.
