Ford Foundation Grants In Asia

(Rec. 10 p.m.) NEW YORK, April 13.

The Ford Foundation today announced grants of 2,000.000 dollars for educational, economic and social development projects in the Near East and Asia and of 2,500,000 dollars for foreign and international studies and student and cultural exchanges in the United States and other countries. The amount of* 2.000,000 dollars, made under the foundation’s overseas development programme, was divided among India, Pakistan, Nepal. Burma, Indonesia, Turkey. Iran and the Lebanon.

The foundation placed the emphasis on educational activities.
