WASHINGTON, April 14 Mr James Patterson, Republican member of the House of Representatives from Connecticut, said last night that an earth satellite the United States planned to launch on or about April 24 would weigh 211 b, of which nearly half would be scientific instruments. Mr Patterson, who gave no source for his information, said m a statement that the launching. from Cape Canaveral, Florida would attempt to put the satellite into an orbit between 300 and 400 miles high. If successful, the satellite would send back five times as much information as the first two United States satellites.
