Shortage Of Lemons Until June
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 13.
Lemons are going to be scarce for the next two or three months. “During the last few years the supply of lemons has been short during the summer months and New Zealand has had to import them.” Mr R. Walker, general manager of a wholesale fruit distributor’s firm in Wellington, said. “However, import restrictions, except in special circumstances, have prohibited the importation of lemons, and New Zealandgrown lemons, although plentiful during the flush of the season between June and December, cannot be stored for long periods”
