MUSIC FOR THE MASSES
During the final of one of the minor events at the Christchurch Golf Club’s tournament on Monday, one of the competitors was attended by two becoming young women. In his bag he carried a portable radio, and his companions were entertained with dance music, race and sports announcements. If this horrified some of the more conservative golfers in the galleries, it offered a hint of possible things to come.
