POLICE RECOVER STOLEN GOODS

Thefts From Cars In Invercargill (New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, April 11. Invercargill detectives last night recovered more than £3OO worth of goods stolen from parked cars and garages in Invercargill during the last three weeks. As a result, two 14-year-old boys will face charges in the Invercargill Children’s Court. Included in the goods recovered were two key rings with 37 different car keys attached. During the last three weeks, about 30 cases of theft from parked cars and garages have been reported to the Invercargill Criminal Investigation Branch. Cars were tampered with in all parts of the city, including; streets in the business area. ’

Senior-Detective J. H. Alty said that the property recovered would clear up most, but not all the car thefts reported. He added that a considerable amount of property which had not been reported stolen so far was included. The stolen goods x were recovered from a shed at the rear of the home of one of the bdys. The goods were concealed under a quantity of timber and other material.
