LINER ON FIRE IN INDIAN OCEAN. —The Norwegian emigrant ship Skuabryn on fire in the Indian Ocean. The ship, carrying 905 emigrants, mostly German and Maltese, 176 other passengers, and a crew of 208, caught fire on March 31 while bound for Australia. Only one man lost his life, and he died of a heart attack in one of the lifeboats. Two lifeboats can be seen at the ship’s stern. The passengers and crew were picked up, after two hours, by the British freighter City of Sydney. The ship, still burning, sank while being towed to Aden.
