Duel As Theme Of Ballet

(Rec. 8 p.m.) DEAUVILLE (France), April 6. The Marquis de Cuevas and Serge Lifar, the choreographer, who fought a duel a week ago—with cameras and reporters recording the event, which ended when Lifar was scratched—met in Deauville today before the cameras again, according to the British United Press. This time the • two embraced each other. Their duel was over the staging of a work by Lifar, but they are now- reported to be working on a new ballet. Its title: “The Duel.” It will be produced by the Marquis and directed by Lifar.

Ten Drowned.—Ten persons were drowned and 17 were injured yesterday when two vessels were wrecked near the fishing port of Chontnhi, south Chile. —Santiago (Chile), April 7.
