New Telephone Service

Residents of Camp Bay, Charteris Bay, Church Bay, Diamond Harbour and Purau Bay will have an improved telephone service when a continuous automatic telephone exchange is brought into operation towards the end of this year or early next year. Officers of the telephone branch of the Chief Post Office, Christchurch, will call on residents in these districts from April 14, to ascertain their telephone requirements and supply any needed information.
