Unemployed Man Wins £48,000

A 51-year-old out-of-work farm worker living in the village of Bodsham, near Ashford, Kent, learned this week that he had won £48,000 in a- British national football pool. He received his last wage packet last Saturday and was about to sehd off his unemployment papers to the Ministry of Labour When the pool repre- ' sentative arrived with the good news. The forecast on last Saturday’s games was the same as that which yesterday won a world record i prize of more than £209,000 for Mr and Mrs Thomas Riley, or Horden, in h rival pools competition. _________________
