VETERAN CARS TO RETURN TODAY
(New Zealand Proas Association) BLENHEIM, April 6. Most of the veteran cars which, on Friday successfully achieved the 220-mile journey from Christchurch to Picton, will set out on their return tomorrow. Departure times will be later than on Friday and it is expected that the first of the cars will not reach Christchurch until about 5.30 p.m., and thereafter at intervals on to 8.30 p.m. Some of the cars from Invercargill left today on their return journey. Yesterday’s rally drew a record crowd to Picton. The veterans were joined in processions by models of very early 1900 vintage which had been brought up from Christchurch on trailers.
