SOUTH AFRICAN PARTIES
No Support From Congress (Rec. 11.15 p.m.) JOHANNESBURG, April 8. The African National Congress has said that it will support neither of the two main political parties in the forthcoming General Election. The congress said in a statement that the present National Party Government was the worst ever imposed on South Africa and the opposition United Party had never been considered a real opposition to the Nationalists. It said the policies of the United Party had too often been indistinguishable from those of the Government.
