Skinner Meets U.S. Cattlemen

SAN FRANCISCO, April b. The New Zealand Minister of Agriculture (Mr Skinner) and the Director-General of Agriculture (Mr R. B. Tennent) conferred with representatives of the California Cattlemen’s Association at San Francisco yesterday. They had discussed matters of “mutual interest” and the possibility of American purchases of beef on the hoof from New Zealand, said Mr Skinner. Mr Skinner and Mr Tennent are on the way to London for a series of conferences on New .Zealand’s agricultural exports to the United Kingdom. "Butter is the principal item to be discussed." Mr Tennent said. They were welcomed to the United States by Sir Leslie Munro, the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations and the New Zealand Ambassador to the United States. They are to leave New York for London on Monday.
