Police To Apply For Extradition Order (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 4. The police intended to extradite Patrick Connolly Pearce McGavin, a former Wellington barrister and solicitor, to New Zealand to answer a charge of stealing £lO,OOO. He was charged with the theft in Brisbane yesterday. The superintendent of the C. 1.8. (Mr F. N. Aplin) said today. that Detective-Sergeant J. S. Stevenson, of Wellington, would fly to Australia on Tuesday next to escort McGavin back to New Zealand. Mr Aplin said additional charges were pending. McGavin was charged in Brisbane with stealing £lO,OOO at Wellington between February 23 and April 30, 1953.
