UNOFFICIAL WORLD RECORD.—Rink Babka, of the University of Southern California, is shown throwing the discus 198 ft 10in during a meeting in California late last month. The world record is 194 ft 6in, but Babka’s throw will not be recognised as a record, because the throwing course was slightly down-hill and the circle did not conform to requirements.
