TWO SYRIAN BEARS, born in the London zoo on December 31. being given their first public outing in the gardens. One of the cubs is making friends with a visitor, and the other is being held by the zoo keeper. The cubs are the first pure Syrian bears to be born in the zoo since the gardens opened 130 years ago.
