CLAIM AGAINST KING SAUD

The Saudi Arabian Legation in Rome last night denied all claims made by an Italian architect, who says he was commissioned to build a fabulous palace for King Saud just outside Riyadh, the Saudi Arabian capital. On Saturday, King Saud’s 6000ton royal yacht Mansour was seized at Genoa after Armando Brasini, one of Italy’s leading architects, secured a court order recognising his claim for £69,000 in payment for work on blueprints for the palace. The Legation claimed that Brasini had been paid a fee of about £720 for a preliminary study he made at Riyadh, and that be never delivered any plans.
