MUSIC FESTIVAL SEATING
The Christchurch Civic Music Council has received 850 seats for its music festival since it appealed for assistance last week. To seat the performers and audience in comfort, it will need 3000 at least. The council hopes to raise at least £lOOO with its festival, which will open at the King Edward Barracks on Monday, April 14. The money raised will be used as funds for the projected town hall.
