Technical College Old Pupils
“This year will bring the start of social functions and indoor sports," said the secretary of the Christchurch Technical College Past and Senior Students’ Association (Mr A. F. Fuller), at the annual meeting of the association. Mr Fuller said in his annual report that a set of indoor bowls had been bought recently and it should not be long before some organised activities were under way. A vote of thanks was passed for Mr F. H. DephofTs gift of a table tennis table to the association. at the meeting, said that the furat themeeting said that the furnishing of the club room and the committee room had progressed greatly. Floor covering, a committee table and chairs, and a piano had been bought. The association offered its thanks to the college board of managers for the erection of a Roll of Honour in memory of those old pupils who were killed in World War 11. Officers elected were: — Patron, Mr D. W. Lyall, president. Mr A. F. Fuller; vice-presi-dents, Mrs B. Henderson, Messrs W. D. Johnston, I Jackson; secretary, Mrs B. Robinson: assistant secretary, Mr C. Sanderson: treasurer. Mr R. W. Black: auditor, Mr L. F. Luxton; committee, Mrs E. Deer, Mr R. Gray Antique Dealers’ Fair.— The Antique Dealers’ Fair which will open in London in June will be attracting dealers, connoisseurs and collectors from many parts of the world. Visitors will be especially interested in the loans made from the collections of Queen Elizabeth 11. Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and other members of the Royal family There will also be a loan from Britain s Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths. Exhibits will include treasures made by United Kingdom and overseas craftsmen, ranaing in period from the Auaustan age of the Georges back to Elizabeth I.—London.
