Racing Wingatui Team For Riverton

"The Press" Special Service DUNEDIN, March 31. Ben Led! and The Wanderer, respective winners of the double races at the Beaumont Racing Club’s meeting last Saturday, will be included in H. A. Anderton’s team which will leave for Riverton tomorrow morning. Ben Ledi and The Wanderer are engaged in the Aparima Handicap, on the first day of the Riverton meeting on Saturday. Last year Ben Ledi won the Flying Handicap on the second day at Riverton. A light-weight in this event is Subside, a recent addition to Anderton’s team from the North Island. The Faux Tirage mare ran a fair race for fourth in the Molyneux Handicap at Beaumont, and should pay her way when she becomes acclimatised. The stable will be strongly represented by Royal Mail, Delarmo, and Al Capone in the Waiau Steeplechase, and The Tongs in the Great Western. The Tongs, which was disappointing last term, has been working with more dash lately and his schooling has been good. Treasure Pond showed that she is near peak form again at Oamaru, and may race prominently in the Riverton Cup. The stable will also be represented by Sydtrev, Call Boa, ad Mitre Peak.
